0 to 22,000 employees in 12 years?

You have to hand it to Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Google rose from an abstract idea to a company in 1998 and now in 2010, they have 22,000 full time employees world wide. If you started with two employees, being them, that still puts annual employment growth at a staggering 125% year after year. Overall growth has been 11,000%! Like I always say, an excellent idea, properly implemented on the Internet will produce amazing results.

Hey! I had hoped that years down the road, long after this thing was paying its own bandwidth bills, we'd see a few hundred employees. If for some freakish reason, sellfreeusa even started heading in this direction, I'm not so sure that I wouldn't throw the brakes on. No reason to screw up a good thing by letting it get so big that is stops being fun.

Will ever see google numbers? I seriously doubt it. But, that's not what we are after here. We're after the simple goal of getting this thing going and helping make the interent a slightly better place... hold it.. that's what Larry & Sergey were after, wasn't it? (Oh Crap)
